Royal Tunbridge Wells Choral Society

Royal Tunbridge Wells Choral Society

St John's Church Hall, Tunbridge Wells ,
RTWCS is one of the leading amateur choirs in Kent; the Choir has been giving choral and orchestral concerts in and around Royal Tunbridge Wells since the founding of the choir in 1904. The society has a "twin" choir in Wiesbaden and joint events are occasionally held in UK and Germany. We stage two or three concerts of music from the classical choral repertoire each year under a professional conductor; major works with up to 150 singers are performed in the Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall Theatre accompanied by the society's own orchestra. The choir also gives more intimate and informal concerts in local churches with instrumental ensembles and organ. Choral Society members are mainly drawn from both Kent and East Sussex, and we welcome enquiries from prospective new members irrespective of their age or previous choral experience. Younger members are especially welcome.
