Hello everyone :) Firstly I would like to say thank you for liking my page and my work. And now to tell you a bit about myself. After studying beauty therapy, where I studied make up as an optional unit and completes my 4 exams I was asked by a friend of mine to do some make overs at his photography studio for his clients offering hair and make up services. This was my breakthrough into the hair and make up industry. I was happy, excited and scared all at the same time and very very grateful that I had been given this opportunity to continue to develop my hair and make up skills. After a couple of months doing clients my friend asked me to do some collaboration shoots and work on model portfolios with him. I had never done any kind of media make up or hair before but thought I would give it a go. At first I was so nervous about this work but once I started creating I felt like I had been doing it all my life and it was so natural for me to create :) Over the past year I have worked on many shoots including make up for Embraced Burlesque. This was for promotional material for their valentines show. The Psychedelic Lounge. This is a local vintage store. The shoot was put together for promotion for the stores opening and online services. Fallen Saint Jewellery Store. Fallen saint are a local jewellery store. This shoot was mainly nail art work and the photos were for their web site. Model Portfolios and collaborations. And lots of make over shoots for clients. This year I am working on my portfolio and want to do lots of creative stuff as I am planning on going to university next year to study Specialist Theatrical and Media Hair and Make up. I am so grateful to my friend giving me the opportunity he has because I now work with a number of photographers all over the west midlands on a freelance basis. My base is at Dark Lens Photography Studios in Wolverhampton where I do a lot of the hair and MUA work and run my own beauty business from there. Thank you for reading and all I can say is, find an industry that you love and do all you can to succeed. It may not happen straight away or as quick as you like but it will happen if you truly want it to. Find the right balance between life and work don't let work rule your world :) xx
