Rainmaker Finance LLP is an independent commercial finance brokerage, established in 2007. From our base in Worthing, West Sussex, we have clients throughout the UK and are happy to work anywhere in the Country.
Our services help clients to secure additional or replacement commercial finance from the wide range of lenders, both in the UK and internationally. We have a wealth of lending experience, gathered over more than two decades prior to starting Rainmaker. This means we know the lending market and can save you time and money by introducing the right lender, suited to your company.
Our clients are mainly private companies, owner managed, Small Medium Enterprises, where cash is king and is required to maintain a success business. Whilst our clients range from start up to £300 million in sales revenue, a typical client is within the £500,000 to £10 million range in turnover size.
We seek to review the current financial position in order that we might introduce a wide range of financial options, since we know the varying criteria and credit appetites of the lenders; they all differ and some considerably.
In simple we can consider finance for:
- a specific asset
- for a trading situation
- or based purely on the client companies credit standing.
The stronger the client’s credit position, such as number of years of successful trading and resulting balance sheet, the wider the range of options that are available.
In most cases, we are paid a finder’s fee, by the lender and therefore do not need to charge the client company. When a lender that we have introduced, secures new business, that success results with Rainmaker being paid a finder’s fee, from their profits, not at your company’s expense. That way our clients are happy with their new facility, the lender wins a new client and we earn a fee for our engagement.
In addition, since we work with a number of lenders throughout the year and place a lot of new business, we have established a strength and built our buying power so our rates will be more competitive that if you approached the same lender directly.

Guy Stead
Started in financial services in 1986 and has worked with five employers including a high street bank, independent invoice finance company and two multinational US Corporate organisations, prior to starting Rainmaker in 2007.
Richard Till
Richard started his career in the turnaround sector over twenty years ago and has been enthusiastically involved in helping companies survive and move forward through difficult circumstances, where the lender plays a key role in supporting the plan.
