The South East Hampshire Green Party covers the areas administered by Fareham Borough Council, Gosport Borough Council, and Portsmouth City Council. We currently also cover the south east part of Winchester City Council (roughly the areas around Denmead and Hambledon) and the southern part of East Hampshire District Council including Petersfield. We meet at approximately monthly intervals, the currently favoured venue being the Portsmouth Rail Social Club, opposite Fratton Station in Portsmouth - not quite the Carlton Club, but the ale is 'real' and really cheap! There are also three local groups under the umbrella of the SE Hants regional party: • Fareham and Gosport group • Portsmouth group The local groups tend to meet as and when necessary, but meetings will be publicised on this page. We are a friendly and diverse bunch of people spanning all age groups, and new members or individuals simply wishing to find out more are assured of a warm welcome.

Brentwood deserves better than to come second to career politicians. National political ideology, personal ambition and the party 'whip' have allowed the ruling administration to attempt to sell our Town Hall and, now, the beautiful and historic Old House. Their disdain for the public has seen them oversee a culture of secrecy over the worsening William Hunter Way cinema deal. The administration has failed to sign off council accounts twice of late, has promoted a soaring council house waiting list and has raised the pay of senior officers and the leader whilst laying off dozens of council workers at huge expense to the tax payer and it recently 'lost' £750,000 of tax payer money paid by developers. It's tried to dumb down your Christmas celebrations and even ban religious gatherings locally. And our once heralded highways localism budget was handed back to Essex County Council willingly. Most recently, Conservatives ignored a consultation response that said NOT to change Chatham Way car park back to a draconian 'pay before you shop' system. The public said NO, by two to one. Yet ALL Conservative councillors on the committee voted YES. We, naturally, voted NO because this decision is bonkers and will lead to residents parking in good faith but being issued with £50 parking tickets by the council to boost its coffers! Councillors that stay blindly loyal to a national political party influence will just do as they are told by an often misguided leadership and to the detriment of our town. So.... Brentwood First is a group of independently minded individuals that campaign regardless of political ideology and local diktat to promote the best interests of our borough. UKIP want the unconditional withdrawal of the UK from the EU to regain our self-governing democracy, so allowing the relief of business from crushing regulation and the less well off from the burden of taxes, shutting off the flood of immigrants and freeing enterprise. Unelected and unaccountable Commissioners in the EU dictate 75% of our laws. None of them can be repealed by our own Parliament. EU controls immigration, business and employment, financial services, fishing, farming, law and order energy and trade. It seeks now to control foreign affairs and tax. By leaving the EU we save over £45m a day plus £60bn a year due to EU trade barriers, business regulation, waste, fraud, administration costs and the destruction of our fishing industry. The tide of EU mass immigration has pushed down wages and restricted job opportunities. Only by leaving the EU can we regain control of our borders. Our traditional values have been undermined. Children are taught to be ashamed of our past. Multiculturalism has split our society. Political correctness is stifling free speech. The law of the land must be single and apply to all of us. We oppose any other system of law. To shore up the collapsing Euro, the EU is now seeking to pull away the props of our national economy - control of taxation and spending. Only UKIP will give the power to the British people to regain self-government.
