Good Vibrations Glasgow

Good Vibrations Glasgow

Make Do, Hope Street, Glasgow ,
FEEL THE GOOD VIBRATIONS..... Glasgow's new club night mixing the best of house and techno, new and old. Heavy bass and explosive breaks.. whats happenin y'all? welcome to our page Good Vibrations Glasgow. We are a new clubnight that has stepped up to make Thursday's yet another day of the week to go out and hear top class house/techno acts in G town! Situated in the ever growing Make Do in Hope Street, this is not a night to be missed! With a Funktion 1 sound system, wide range of guests lined up, our highly qualified resident turntabalists fresh off the ferry from Ireland, Joe Campbell and Gareth McLaughlin and our mature apprentice Fraser MacInnes are sure to bring many great Thursday nights back to Glasgow. Joe and Gareth (aka Meats/Meatloaf/Sweatloaf) both first lay hands on turntables for the first time some 6 years ago and have learned everything they know with each other! This is a duo I promise will make you move! Joining the duo is Fraser MacInnes, a man who knows how to throw in many a pleasant surprise to a mix, we are all seriously excited to get this off the ground and to get you all on your toes! Our venue Make Do, opened in the sad untimely closure of Chambre 69 has hosted some amazing acts since opening in January such as MK aka Mark Kinchen, Shadow Child, Boddika, Paul Woolford, Scuba and Huxley to mention a small few. Not forgetting our local boys, the likes of StayFresh Glasgow, Void Militia, #notsosilent etc have all hosted mad nights in here. Easily one of my favourite venues for a good party with its top class light shows, heavy Funktion 1 sound system, a 600 capacity and a belter crowd! Cant wait to get at it! Hope to see yese all down there, get your dancing shoes polished and your sweat rag ready because its guarenteed to hit the roof on the 25th July! Thanks dancers :)
The Arches

The Arches

253 Argyle Street, Glasgow ,
In 1991, former Arches Artistic Director Andy Arnold realised the potential of the cavernous space underneath Glasgow’s Central Station and received the keys to the space from British Rail. Twenty one years on, the Arches has become one of Europe’s leading cultural venues, playing host to some of Britain’s biggest club nights, an eclectic range of gigs and exciting new theatre, performance and visual art. People often drop in for lunch or a drink in the café bar and end up staying for the rest of the evening – catching a band, taking in some experimental theatre, or meeting up with friends before heading to the dancefloor.
