Twin bedroom with 2 small single beds and wardrobe space. Dining area/living area has large spacious sofa, dining table with stools, flat screen TV with built in free view and DVD player. There is also a pull-out double bed in the dining-area increasing the maximum occupancy of the Holiday Home to 6. The Settle Down Cinema is back! Summer is slowly fading away from us and the cold dark nights will soon start creeping in. So, why not hide away in Newcastle's finest cafe with a bowl of hot soup, cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer) and free movies! We plan to bring you one screening every fortnight, popcorn and custom posters of the current film by local creatives. We previously had some great work from Joe Hodgkiss, Richard Short, Alex Mellon, Niall Greaves and hope to get more of you doodling away for us. Sevenoaks Visual Artists Forum is a group of 60+ professional Kent artists and makers. The group is non selective and friendly and comprises both successful, and emerging artists. [Students on a BA course or similar are very welcome to join.] We believe that true artists have open and inquiring minds and that we can learn something from everything and everyone. Our members are drawn from many disciplines including paint, ceramics, print, textiles, sculpture, installation, video, sound and contemporary drawing. We aim to make the Forum a vehicle for artists to meet, critically engage, share, network and develop their practice. At the kind invitation of Arts Officer Duncan Brannan the group now meet in the Kaleidoscope Gallery, Sevenoaks - one of Kent’s best known contemporary art galleries - on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings run from 6pm – 8pm, sometimes with an optional continuation in the pub afterwards. SVAF meetings comprise of speakers, panel discussions, away days, and optional critiques of member’s work. Membership is £12.00 pa. Members may bring an artist friend to the speaker meetings only for a £3.00 speaker fee.
