Norwich Wheel Systems
I am a wheelbuilder based in the village of Brundall, just a few miles east of Norwich. I specialise in the building of cycle wheels, principally, for the local cyclist, with whom I can meet with personally, discuss their requirements, and provide them with a wheel that best suits their needs. I can also provide them with any aftercare that the wheel may require, during its serviceable life.
A handbuilt cycle wheel offers an alternative to the many factory built sets, so widely available today, where, due to obvious constraints, it is very much a ‘one size fits all’. A handbuilt wheel can be built around the intended use of that wheel, the customers physical attributes and, of course, the budget that is available. A handbuilt wheel is easily serviced and repaired. Spares are in plentiful supply and readily obtainable. And, of course, the builder of that wheel is only a ‘phone call away……
I can build whatever the customer wants and offer advice on component choice, and method of build, to provide a wheelset that not only performs, but is reliable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
I have a number of demonstration wheelsets available, ranging from all purpose training wheels, to lightweight racing clinchers to deep section carbon tubulars and clinchers. I also train and race on the wheels that I build, as does my son, Peter. We can be seen at local race meetings such as Lotus, Elvedon and races held within the Essex Road Racing League.
