With a team of professional industry people ready to take on any project, we have the technology, ability and enthusiasm to realise your ideas into finished works you’ll be proud of. So whether you want to produce a cheeky bootleg, enter the world of remixing, write and record an album, promote your work, produce a world class mixtape or podcast, we’ve got it covered! Maybe you have tracks already created that need to be mixed and mastered professionally, or maybe you just simply need some tuition to get you making your own masterpieces quickly, and without trawling through the endless ‘help’ files - we can do it all, and more.
STUDIO 7 is owned and run by producer/writer/engineer Colin Walker. A trained musician and DJ for 27 years concurrently, Colin has also created, re-edited, enhanced & produced music across many genres for over a decade. Remixing under many aliases he is currently known as SONATRON. But beyond that he has also coached musicians and aspiring vocalists with his producer hat on, and music-tech students with his engineering hat on. All with one simple, enthusiastic rule "Whatever music we make, let’s make it great!"

RECORDING AND MIXING
In Studio
Sit alongside skilled engineers to produce your tracks or remixes. We offer studio session slots from 4 hours to lockout, normally between the hours of 10am-7pm although evening sessions can be arranged.
A booked full-day rate includes free pre-production work, recreating riffs, time stretching/treating vocals etc for the session, to your brief. Please make sure that any samples/reference ideas are submitted at least 2 days prior to your booked time.
Vocal sessions include production advise, harmony/backing vocal structuring, and ‘comping’ a finished vocal master from the best takes. You leave with a top quality a-capella as well as all takes and discarded material, dry and unprocessed (apart from input compression if necessary) either on CD/DVD or by transfer to a USB Device which you supply.
Remote Production
We can produce tracks/remixes to your specification remotely. All we require is your written brief, plot material and any reference you wish to submit for us to follow. A remix will usually take a minimum of 3 days & STUDIO 7 producers/musicians reserve the right to be credited for all contributions to the finished work by them, in respect of intellectual copyright law.
Mixdown
If you’ve already created the track and arrangement in full, but you need a professional mix, you can send us in confidence, your existing guide mix together with reference material to demonstrate what you are hoping to achieve sonically, along with a complete set of audio bounces/stems and we’ll bring it all together, ready for mastering.
Voice Over Services
Our studio has purpose built sound booths for both single and group voice recording sessions. We record with a variety of high-end microphones to suit different applications and deliver the recordings in your required format. As well as professional vocalists in ‘full production mode’ we also record vocals for aspiring singers wishing to produce professional demos/showreels, corporate company websites, distance learning sites, media and advertising campaigns, audio books in fact any project that requires pristine capture of the voice.
Audio Transfer
We can transfer any of your older or archived work to any format you require from cassette, open reel, DAT or VHS. We also can transfer between those media should you require. We can transfer vinyl to CD and restore audio by removing tape hiss, vinyl clicks/rumble, and other noises to enhance your source material. Please contact us with your specific requirements for rates/deals and availability.

MIXED CDS & PODCASTS
We can produce DJ ‘mix tapes’ or podcasts. Just supply us the tracks and running order (up to 12 tracks per sequence) together with any guides regarding ‘deck trick’ sections, (stops, filter sweeps, phase/flange, stutter, or other effects) or you can just give us artistic license and we‘ll get creative! Depending on your preference we’ll either burn to physical media (CD/DVD) or USB device which you provide, and return it by secure post, or alternatively we can send your finished mix via secure web transfer.
MASTERING SERVICES
We’ll add the ‘punch & sparkle’ to make your mix cut it on the dance floor or radio - or both! We’ll make your album flow perfectly and sonically, from the first track to the last. We offer a comprehensive mastering service, with both online mastering and attended mastering sessions at the studio. All mastering is done to red book standards, with embedding of ISRC and PQ codes. TUITION & PRODUCTION MASTERCLASSES
So you’ve bought all the kit, installed Logic Pro, and now you’re scratching your head thinking “where do I start!?†or you’ve got the software part sorted, but need some help with production and arrangement techniques. You might be a student studying music technology that needs to get a higher grade! Maybe you need help with plugins, synthesis or any of the really deep stuff, or you just need to speed up your workflow with shortcuts, tips ‘n’ tricks. Whatever level you’re at, we can help you take it further.
PROMOTION
Produce a track to a high enough standard and there's no reason it couldn't/shouldn't be professionally serviced to DJs. Our team can help you get your finished tracks out to DJs and A&R departments.

>> STUDIO LOCATION
STUDIO 7 is located in the town centre, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. There are bars, restaurants catering all national and international cuisine, takeaways, coffee shops, convenience stores and bakeries all within the immediate vicinity. Haywards Heath is a major stop on the mainline between London Victoria & Brighton. A taxi from Haywards Heath Station to the studio costs approximately £5.00. There is hotel accommodation less than 10 minutes walk (approximately £3.00 by taxi) from the studio, at The Birch Hotel. We can arrange your accommodation and advise the cost at the time of your booking, based upon your requirements. The hotel will provisionally book your accommodation and we will advise you of the booking reference number. Once advised, you will then need to contact the Hotel directly to confirm the booking and provide card details to secure your accommodation within 24 hours. Any cancellation will be subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel, and it is the duty of the client to inform the hotel, and pay any cancellation fee that they may impose.
