As well as being perfectly located within a few minutes driving to glorious beaches, the Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay Coastal Paths, stunning countryside and Cardigan Town, The Old Granary is at the end of a quiet ‘no through’ road with just farmland beyond and faces onto a large garden which leads onto 11 acres of deciduous woodland with various walks and trails. We are just ½ mile from the ancient market town of Cardigan with its theatre, cinema, supermarkets, pubs and a range of individual shops. Also within a few minutes’ drive are several Blue Flag beaches, small hidden coves and pretty harbour villages where you can stop for a coffee break, lunch stop or afternoon tea. There are golf courses nearby and you can experience sailing, surfing, angling, sea fishing, coastal voyages, marvellous bird watching, horse riding, pony trekking and a myriad of cycle trails. We have taken care with The Old Granary and your welcome will include complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk together with a bowl of fresh fruit and a selection of sweets. We are on hand for local information and you will find books of walks and trails as well as Ordnance Survey maps covering an area from St David’s to New Quay together with information leaflets of local attractions. We are also happy to provide wireless internet access upon request. Accommodation A light and airy building, The Old Granary is single storey and sleeps 2 in a full size double bed. Both feather and conventional pillows are provided, with a warm duvet to aid a great night’s sleep. Extra blankets are also available. Two bedside cabinets each with a bedside lamp, clock/radio, a large wardrobe with full length mirror and chest of drawers. The main living space is open plan ‘L’ shape comprising lounge/dining area and kitchen. The lounge area has a 3-seater settee with foot rest, reclining armchair with footrest, wall mounted flat screen Freeview TV, video player, radio/cd player, table lamp and side table. The dining area has a gate leg table with two chairs. The kitchen area has a full size electric oven with separate grill, electric hob, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle and a range of crockery, cooking utensils, glassware and cutlery. The bathroom has an enclosed shower, washbasin with large mirror, shaver point and toilet. Large ‘ladder’ radiator, hooks for bathrobe, towel rail and shower mat. There is a lobby space containing a bookcase with a selection of books and games, coat hooks, two garden chairs and a vacuum cleaner. Outside Private parking for your car is just outside The Old Granary and we also have secure storage for bikes, if required. From the living area, a half glass door opens onto a large patio with table and chairs where you can relax overlooking a large garden laid to lawn with areas of mature shrubs and fruit trees with views over Cardigan to the Preselli Hills. We have farmland all around and our natural valley of about 11 acres abuts the garden and comprises woodland, wetland and stream for you to enjoy. Trees include oak, ash, sycamore, beech, hazel and other native species and, of course, a profusion of wild animals including badgers, foxes, squirrels and rabbits together with many species of birds including buzzards and owls are all to be seen in the woods.
