What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Life Force Energy’, the energy within us and around us. It is a non-invasive, complementary, holistic therapy which uses natural energy flow to promote general well- being and restore balance.
Its origins can be traced back many centuries but it was rediscovered in its present form by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920s since when it has spread all over the world.
What are the benefits of Reiki?
You do not have to be unwell to enjoy the peace and relaxation of Reiki. However, Reiki has been known to relieve many conditions such as stress and anxiety, tension and poor sleep patterns. It can improve mood and help relaxation. Reiki is often used alongside conventional medical care in hospitals and other health care settings.
