Top Gun Fish Bar has been widely recognised as one of the best fish and chip shops in South Wales. With a wide variety of high-quality takeaway meals, this infamous fish bar has won numerous awards, as well as being voted 'Chip Shop of the Year 2012' by the South Wales Echo. Top Gun is renowned for its fish suppers, which are available as cod, plaice, haddock or lemon sole - cooked fresh to order and served in a box with chips, minted mushy (or garden) peas and a wedge of lemon. Top Gun also offers freshly cooked rotisserie chicken with a special blend of herbs, and create their own curries with mild and hot varieties. All the tempting takeaway treats on the menu are cooked on the premises daily - nothing is left overnight or reheated. Aside from fish suppers, you'll find an extensive menu featuring barbecue chicken, a variety of tempting pies and pasties, sausage rolls, burgers and faggots. Special fish orders such as plaice or lemon sole can be phoned through in advance or ordered on arrival, and they even provide an extensive seating area so you can wait for your fish to be cooked fresh. Fish and chips may not be the healthiest supper, but at Top Gun they are conscious of their customers' well-being. They always use Frymax oil, which doesn't contain hydrogenated oil and is virtually trans fat free. So you have no excuse not to tuck in.

When asked what inspires me, it’s hard to pin point something exact. I suppose I’m quite inspired by Victorian grandeur, the over the top decoration of the period and the sheer beauty of it. Much of my jewellery has intricacy and attention to detail, with layers of chain, beads and charms. I love to create individual pieces and give them a personal touch, sometimes they tell a story, and other times its pure aesthetics and beauty. Either way I find there is nothing more satisfying than watching a piece come to life, starting from beads and findings, transforming into something unique and bespoke…. but the most satisfying feeling is knowing I made it and someone else adores it. There is no better personal gratification.
