The Rectorial Benefice of Upper Ebbw Valleys
The Ecclesiastical District of Ebbw Vale came into being by Act of Parliament in 1870 although the Parish Church of Christ Church had been built in 1858-1860.
The Rectorial Benefice of Ebbw Vale is the collective name of all Anglican or Church in Wales churches in the Ebbw valley. This includes Christ Church, which is built in the heart of the valley and can be seen for miles around because of its large spire. St David's church, set alongside the banks of the river ebbw,in Beaufort, the north part of the Benefice. And St. Paul's set on the road to Cwm, in the south of the Benefice.
