Description SOCATOTS® is the world's first soccer specific physical play programme for children from Walking to school age. Aimed at giving children their very first start with the ball. SOCATOTS® uses soccer or football as our medium and of course a child attending SOCATOTS® will greatly develop their skills in this area, however SOCATOTS® is about a great deal more than just developing a child's affinit y and control with the ball, it is about giving them a well-rounded start in their physical, social and educational development and developing the 'whole child'. Attending SOCATOTS® classes has enormous benefits for young children, some of which are listed below: o Improvement of balance and co-ordination, as well as posture o Development of cognitive skills o Increased self confidence o Improved social skills o Enhanced muscle and bone development o More body awareness and understanding of the benefits of exercise The benefits of taking part in SOCATOTS® go far beyond just the physical and research shows that children who are physically active from a young age are more likely to concentrate better in the classroom. Add this to SOCATOTS® focus on educational and social development as well as physical and soccer specific skills and you can see that SOCATOTS® really does give a great start to children. FIT 4 FUN Harrogate District

The Hydro, Harrogate ,
FIT 4 FUN is a Big lottery funded project, ran through Harrogate Borough Council. The aim of the project is to encourage everyone in the district to be more active, to achieve this the Activity Rangers have already built up links in the communities by working in schools and offering activities such as bootcamps, elderly activities in nursing homes and mums and babies exercise sessions. The project is also looking to provide activities for those who are not physically active at the moment, creating a fun environment for them to carry on the exercise in the future without the assistance of the Rangers. All activites are completely FREE of charge and all you have to do is turn up to the sessions to participate. For more information regarding the Activity Rangers please contact Natalie Smith on: Natalie.Smith@harrogate.gov.uk or 07525988160
