The Green House is an all-weather trading area in Letchworth Garden City Herts. We are a social enterprise, a community-led business with social purpose. We hope to encourage visitors to come and experience this unique building and our concept which is a 'green' trading and training opportunities community interest company. If we had not taken on the building it would either have remained empty or even been demollished. We will listen to interested parties as to which events they would like to see take place and what other good community uses the Green House could be used for. To be clear on our objectives: if you need support, advice, training to start, or move on your small business, we will be there for you. If you want to hire the Green House or a table or the snack servery for an event or occasion or meeting we can offer this service. We welcome everyone, minorities, majorities, dogs, children, men, women, the good the bad and the ugly, as long as they respect the other people who are also in the Green House. We particularly welcome people who want to help Letchworth Town Centre to be the very best that it can be and are fully prepared to roll up their sleeves to help people already working flat out to achieve this. I mean people like Lee Boswell of Love Letchworth, the volunteers who run the Letchworth Festival and the LALG. Most of us are learning on the job, we are a new concept, we are not funded, the Green House we relies on you, our visitors to keep us afloat. We are there for you to use, enjoy improve your business skills, if you can be there with an investment of your time, however small we will be able to put our charitable and community aspects into action.
