Well situated in the small historic town of Marlborough on the widest high street in Europe, you will find The Royal Oak. Previously a Coaching Inn, the Royal Oak is now modern and inviting with wooden floors and a neutral colour scheme but has managed to retain it's traditional features. The focus here is strongly on dining and inside there is a central bar surrounded by the restaurant area. Saturday nights however are usually quite a bit more lively! In the warmer weather, you can relax with a drink in our beer garden. Marlborough town is steeped in history and the Royal Oak is close to many attractions including the burial site of Merlin. Over 40 years of riding and horse training experience, the last six of which I have been engrossed in natural Horsemanship via Parelli. Using psychology, riders, handlers and horses see amazing benefits and wonderful relationships develop. More recently I have also been working with corporate management teams using horses to develop improved leadership, communication and team skills. Since 2000, I have also run my own business, The Art of Balance, which specialises in Project Management, Bid Writing, Research, Events and Board/Committee support & management. My goals are to continue to develop my horsemanship and teaching skills and be invited to progress to 3* instructor level in 2013, whilst maintaining and increasing my management based business.

I spent all my student years in the City of Light and after finishing my studies at the University Paris V, I decided to move to the UK to learn English - and what a better way to learn and assimilate than interacting with people who actually speak the language, and I still have my French accent! Now a few years down the line, I am married to an Austro-British man and in 2009 my son Enzo came into our lives. I started CanSpeakFrench in 2008 in order to provides private french tutoring and allow practice and consolidation of the knowledge of the french language acquired at school or else. "Dessine-moi un mouton" focuses on providing an introduction to the french language for young children but also gives an opportunity to progress in the language as they grow. Workshops for multilingual parents "Growing up with languages" (supporting parents to raise their children bilinguallly) and also for tutors wanting to develop their business are now also available. This is the Official Marlburian Club Facebook page administered by Jane Pendry, Alumni Relations Manager, and Jo Brailsford-Finnis, Information and Communications Officer, Marlborough College. The Marlburian Club was founded in 1884 and now has over 11,500 Club Members worldwide. Members are either former Marlborough College pupils, or former teachers. The Club aims to help Old Marlburians network and socialise, and has a number of international, national and sporting Affiliates. The Club will communicate its events and activities, along with those of official OM Affiliated Clubs, through this site. All OMs and Club Members are entitled to join.
