Independent Beats
I have been playing the drums for a little over 11 years now, having played with 7 bands over that space of time. I have played quite a few reputable venues and festivals such as 02 Acadamies, The plug, Doncaster Live, Tramlines Festival, Khaos Festival, Mapfest and many more.
In this time I have also been signed to 3 record labels where at one I worked as a Session musician (instrumental and vocal performers who are available to work with others at live performances or recording sessions) and a Artists and repertoire (A&R) (The division of a record label or music publishing company that is responsible for talent scouting and overseeing the artistic development of recording artist and/or songwriters. It also acts as a liaison between artists and the record label or publishing company; every activity involving artists to the point of album release is generally considered under the purview of, and responsibility of, A&R.)
I have a laid back method of teaching the drums with great results (the more comfortable you are the better you will perform). I DO NOT teach from sheet, I believe that a drummer plays what he can feel not what he can see and that is basically my motto when it comes to drumming.
The beauty of it is I still haven't stopped learning myself and neither will you, ever! your skills will grow and grow from day one and will do for as long as you continue to play!
