Dance City is a dance organisation with a mission to lead and support a thriving dance ecology in the North East of England, which embraces professional practice, education and participatory work. Since 2005, we have been based in a purpose built dancehouse in Newcastle upon Tyne. We have recently been awarded National Portfolio Organisation status by Arts Council England.

Northern Stage is the largest producing theatre company in the North East of England, and we are very pleased that we are regarded as one of the top-eleven producing theatres in the UK. As well as our work in Newcastle, you might see us out on tour around the country with some of our biggest work.

Over the last six years we have build a solid reputation acting as a third party between art collector and artist. We specialise in graffiti, street and contemporary art paintings, originals and limited edition prints. We are Newcastle Panto Ltd and we produce the panto every year at The Tyne Theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne. We were founded by local actor, comedian & entertainer, Brendan Healy and pride ourselves on employing North East actors and backstage crew to keep our production truly local. Built over the foundations of Hadrian's Wall, Blackfriars Hall is adjacent to the beautiful Catholic Church of St Dominic's; home for over 130 years to Dominican monks or 'Blackfriars' as they became known on account of the black cloak they wore over their white religious habits. (The colours are rumoured to be the origins of famous stripes of Newcastle United.) Today the Hall is run by the St Vincent de Paul Society; a voluntary not-for-profit charity dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage. Located on New Bridge Street at the gateway to the fashionable Ouseburn Valley, the Hall is less than a mile from the City Centre and only 15-20 minutes' walk from Monument or Central Station. With a capacity of 250, a sprung dance floor and stage, full catering facilities and a bar managed by a local microbrewery, Blackfriars Hall is the perfect place for a special celebration, banquet or event. The Hall is available for private hire at very reasonable rates throughout the year and every booking helps the SVP carry on their good work.

The Settle Down Cinema is back! Summer is slowly fading away from us and the cold dark nights will soon start creeping in. So, why not hide away in Newcastle's finest cafe with a bowl of hot soup, cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer) and free movies! We plan to bring you one screening every fortnight, popcorn and custom posters of the current film by local creatives. We previously had some great work from Joe Hodgkiss, Richard Short, Alex Mellon, Niall Greaves and hope to get more of you doodling away for us.
