Saltburn Farmers' Market launched in an Easter blizzard in 2008, and now regularly attracts over 9,500 people to the elegant seaside town for our regular foodie events. Come and see us at our nine markets this year - on Saturday's March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, September 7, October 12, November 9 and December 14. We're based right outside Sainsbury's, just near the Railway Station, and our markets run from 9am-3pm. Best to be early to catch the best bargains. The aim of SALTBURN OPEN ACOUSTIC PLATFORM is to promote talent and encourage performers of all genres of acoustic music to visit us here at The Cons Club, Saltburn by the Sea, Cleveland TS12 1AS on the beautiful rugged coast of the North East of England. MARTIN NESBITT the organiser has an open door policy to warmly welcome, Singers / Songwriters and Composers and every performer who visits us WILL be given stage time to show off their skills. (Providing time allows). We will strive to give every performer the best of order when they are on stage. Saltburn Open Acoustic Platform is about you and me and us, to sing, laugh, cry and appreciate the talented people who perform here at The Cons Club, Saltburn by the Sea. The DoorWays Youth project supports young people aged 13 to 25 living in and around Saltburn. Our aim is to equip young people who have complex social and emotional difficulties, with the skills and confidence to improve their life chances and fulfill their potential. Based in Saltburn Railway buildings, we offer an open door and non-judgmental approach to providing practical and emotional support to young people throughout East Cleveland. Open DoorWays • Drop-in centre open Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.30pm offering information, support advice and guidance for young people in need. • Youth Club Monday evenings 6.30pm-8.30pm: to socialise, take part in group challenges and explore creative skills. • One-to-one support and counseling to increase confidence and improve emotional management. • Supporting young people into work through CV writing, job search and becoming work ready. • PC and Multimedia sessions to develop IT, film making and animation skills. • Learning resources to help young people develop essential Life Skills. • Street work to engage with young people in their own environment. Through DoorWays We’re committed to helping young people find a sense of identity, self-worth and increased confidence that will sustain them throughout their life journey. We know it works because of what we achieve: • Reduction in re-offending figures. • Reduction in levels of anti-social behaviour. • Reduced unemployment levels. • Moving those living on the fringe to feel included in our community. • Better understanding and implementation of life skills.

We were established in 1983 by Nick Noble, when a license was applied for and granted by the local council to operate from a Bedford Van on the lower promenade. The business has grown over the years, firstly moving to a building built by Nick Noble, his father and Gary Rogers which you will still see today (home to the surf shop). Space grew tight and we have now moved further down the promenade and our new building offers us space and a greater opportunity to provide better services to our customers. Over the years our range of equipment has been established and we have various boards and suits to fit anyones requirements. We provide the most reliable wetsuits ensuring your experience with us is a pleasent one (after all it is the north sea). Our surf coaches have developed their skills over a number of years and between them have over 45years of surfing experience. We are constantly improving our own skills and knowledge to ensure we offer current, safe and comprehensive coaching. We are alwasy happy to help if you need advice or guidance. We do not sell any equipment so will always offer unbiased advice to make sure if your buying equipment you get it right first time.
