Here at Valley Adventures we are passionate about inspiring individuals to learn and develop lasting life skills in a real and stimulating environment. We strive to achieve this by delivering Team Building activities, Leadership challenges and Personal Development programmes in a stunning natural environment. This unique Valley environment offers guests a distinctive sense of adventure, with an escape from the hustle and bustle. Our Woodland Centre is situated a mere 10min walk from the beach, 5min walk into the small Victorian town of Saltburn-By-The-Sea, North Yorkshire and a short drive into the beautiful rolling hills of the North Yorkshire Moors. We are currently building on our portfolio of activities that we can offer in our packages. So far we have an extensive range of indoor and outdoor team building challenges and are developing our exciting schools programmes, We can offer anything from archery, surfing, scavenger hunts, coastal discovery days, nature trails, bushcraft,orienteering, circus skills to the more challenging military style assault courses and raft building! Whether you are a small business, large corporate organisation, a school or a youth organisation, Valley Adventures provides a unique environment to help teams and individuals produce some of the following outcomes - CONFIDENCE // TEAMWORK // LEADERSHIP // IMPROVED COMMUNICATION // ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS // PERSONAL QUALITIES // ACTIVITY SKILLS // HEALTH // WELL BEING // FUN! We work in partnership with a number of local and national companies to provide you with the best quality packages with highly experienced and qualified staff. our partners include: Saltburn Surf Hire & School, Flow Surf Coaching, Active8 Events and Nero training. We are also represented on the Woodland Centre Management Company with Friends of the Saltburn Valley and the Tees Wildlife Trust.

THE CENTRE IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND WE AIM TO OFFICIALLY OPEN READY FOR SUMMER 2013!!! The CIC was formed by two interested parties (Friends of the Valley (FOV) and Valley Adventures (VA) who had vested interests in preserving and developing the Woodland Centre and surrounding area after the local council decided it could no longer support the existing centre which it owned and decided to put it out to tender. The two groups were helped by a council social enterprise advisor as part of the regeneration services. Aims: To provide benefit to the public and local communities of all ages interested in outdoor activities, wildlife and the natural environment Objectives: 1. To enable the protection, preservation and development of the valley gardens and surrounding woodland to ensure that the environment is conserved as nature intended. 2. To support and encourage young people to appreciate the importance of investing in the natural environment now and in the future through educating them about its integral contribution to their future (this could be better!) 3. To enable young people to experience the beauty and wonder of the natural environment through organised activities as well as enhancing their personal and group skills 4. To provide an environment for everyone, (young people, families etc) to enjoy the experiences of spending time in the woodland centre and surrounding area to appreciate the joys of the natural world and its inhabitants and by doing so want to contribute to its conservation. Fitness through dance for all ages and abilities. Adult classes are available in and around Saltburn. Children's clubs and classes are available in local Schools.

We are all rail enthusiasts, who enjoy rail travel in general, and somehow stumbled upon the idea of Saltburn Railtours following a successful Saltburn Victorian excursion to Boulby Mine back in August 1995. Since then we have organized 11 other tours to different locations within the United Kingdom. Our 13th tour is due to take place in July 2013 and will be to the Torquay. We offer a Pulman dining rail tour once a year, with a full at seat service. Your luggage will be put aboard on the station and then you can sit back in your seat and watch the wonderful scenery float past as you are served by our experienced and friendly stewards, who, like us are all volunteers. Once at your destination you will be taken to your 4 star hotel, where you will stay on a bed and breakfast basis for 3 nights. You are free to explore or to totally relax, as you wish, but with the comfort of knowing that our staff are always on hand if you should need assistance.
