Greenford High School is a mixed 11-19 secondary school with a comprehensive intake located in the London Borough of Ealing.HistoryWhen it was built, in 1939, the then Greenford County School was a grammar school for boys and girls. It served the needs of the rapidly growing population of the western edge of the Municipal Borough of Ealing and was provided by Middlesex County Council. It remained a selective county school until 1974, when the new London Borough of Ealing reorganised to a comprehensive system, and the school undertook expansion to cope with greater numbers of pupils and the raising of the school leaving age. In 1992, Greenford High School became a grant maintained school; the change was made in order to keep its sixth form, which was threatened by proposed reorganisation of post-16 education. The following year, the roll increased again when Year 7 students were admitted to the school for the first time since 1974. Greenford High School is now a foundation school, which has over 1600 students on roll, with over 550 in the new sixth form. In addition to this there is a School Governing Body made up of 16 members. Consisting of staff, parents, LEA and community School Governors. The chair of Governors is Scott Packman (parent) and the vice chair of Governors is Andrew Whitfield (parent).

Welcome to West Middlesex Golf Club We are the oldest club in Middlesex, established in 1891. An 18 hole undulating and challenging course, partly designed and developed by James Braid, and later on by Willie Parks and Henry Cotton. We are a private members club, but welcome visitors and societies all year round. We also have a large, well decorated function room with views over the golf course, its own bar and outdoor covered and heated smoking area. The Course will be closed on Friday 3rd June 2011 through to and including Sunday 5th June 2011 to the general public due to the Middlesex County Golf Union Amateur Championships. There has been a change in the Tee times available for West Middlesex members during the MCGU Amateur Championships. They will now be between 10.30am – 12.30pm on Saturday 4th June and 9.45am – 1.30pm and from 2.45pm onwards on Sunday 5th June. We also have some courtesies available for the members on Friday 3rd June. Please contact the office for locations and times.
