The Park Community School is a mixed 11-16 state comprehensive school in Barnstaple, North Devon, England. It is maintained by Devon County Council. Most of the school's 1,440 pupils progress to further study at Petroc.HistoryThe Park Community School was opened in 1910 as Barnstaple Grammar School, educating the youth of much of North Devon. In 1976 the school became a comprehensive and took pupils from the Barnstaple area. The school originally had four house named after famous Devon residents; Kingsley, Fortescue, Drake and Raleigh. Due to growing student numbers a fifth house, Chichester, was created in 1999. The school underwent extensive remodling during 2002 and 2003 and new Maths and Science departments were opened in September, linking the old North and South Buildings. A new canteen was also built and many old classrooms were redesigned and refurbished.

The club was founded in 1904 as Pilton Yeo Vale, and were founder members of the North Devon League, at the end of our first season the club changed to their current name. We then spent time in the Devon & Exeter League, and then the South Western League. After the Second World war the club joined the Western League in 1948 – the first North Devon club to do so and won the Western League Division Two title in the 1949–50 season under the management of Arthur Coles. Three seasons later the club achieved the double of winning the Western League and the Devon Professional Cup. The club then had to wait until 1979–80 before winning the Western League again, this time under joint managers Brian Hill and Dave Baglow. The club remained in the top division until it was relegated at the end of the 1989/90. Brian Hill was appointed manager again and got the Barum back into the top division after three seasons winning the First Division Championship in 1993/94.

Our charity shop brings in essential funds, in order to keep Devon's two Air Ambulances flying. Independent of Government and National Lottery funding, it costs in the region of £4.5 million annually. Our shop sells a good quality range of goods, which have been donated to us by the public. These range from clothing, bric a brac, cds, books, shoes, jewellery and accesssories, as well as small electrical goods. We are unable to accept furniture or white goods - eg tvs, fridges and ovens.

Whether you there for enjoyment or to train for competitions the main concept is to have fun. We normally train on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and do many activities such as taster sessions and beginner courses.

Welcome to GO30 Barnstaple. We are a ladies-only facility, where there is a passion for helping ordinary women of all ages achieve the figure and shape that they have always wanted whilst improving their fitness levels at the same time. Following in the foot-steps of the National Award winning gym in Romford, we are looking forward to helping ladies achieve results in a fun, friendly and non-intimidating environment. The aim is to make exercise more accessible for women who, for various reasons, have avoided the more traditional style of gym. Through programs devised by fully qualified female Instructors, the members will need just 30 minutes, three times a week to achieve the results that they want. With regular re-assessments, this `Progressive Results System’ meanst that instructors can support members so that they can follow their personal programs using high-quality, easy to use, air-resistant equipment. On arrival, members can begin their session straight away and instructors are on hand at all times to give advice. Owners Wendy Marshall and Wayne Silver guarantee that the circuit will deliver results. They are the first in North Devon to open a facility of this type just for ladies.
