Photography Godalming
Glenn Harvey
As a Buckingham Palace accredited photographer I spent many years with my trusty Canon 500mm lens capturing on transparency film the lives of the British Royal Family. Working in association with the World's leading Magazines and Newspapers I photographed the ups and downs of HM Queen Elizabeth II and her extended family at home and abroad between 1979 and 1996. Many examples of my work can be seen and bought in my galleries here.
I watched a young and shy HRH Princess Diana develop over the years into an International Ambassador inspiring me to write three books. Diana, A Princess Remembered, Diana and the paparazzi (co-author Mark Saunders - CNN) and Diana's Secret London (co author Mark Saunders - CNN).
In remembrance of Diana in association with the British Council and Pomato Pro, my photographic work was exhibited in Japan. The exhibition entitled, Diana, A Princess Remembered was exhibited in 10 Japanese cities and visited by over 166,000 people. The successful exhibition tour helped raise funds for one of Diana's charitable causes "Landmine Action". Plans are now under way to stage Diana, A Princess Remembered Exhibition in further countries in the near future.
But it's not a about Royals. I have also been assigned by top international publications including Paris Match, The Sunday Times, Hello Magazine to photograph the rich and famous including Johnny Depp, Peter Andre, Ashley Cole, Rod Stewart, Uri Geller, Norman Cook, Sir Hardy Amies.
My corporate clients include ASDA, Laservision, Vodaphone, Waverley Borough Council, Surrey Police, Peter Jones (Dragon's Den), Tesco, Shooting Star CHASE, Chapter's Financial, Standardlife Healthcare.
I am interested in event photography and have been recently been assigned for school proms and other school events locally. I have a portable studio which can be set up in schools, homes and offices with little inconvenience.
