We have thousands of members who meet up every couple of weeks around the UK to have fun, have a pint and get involved in their local communities. Most local Round Tables get together to do everything from paintballing to a game of football, or even something as simple a drink at the pub followed by a curry. These evenings are the essence of Round Table – bringing together groups of friends for beer and banter. Each local Round Table organises its own annual community events. These can vary from club to club, ranging from carnivals and bonfires for tens of thousands of people, to fun runs and barbeques. We are getting involved in our local communities, putting something back, and making a real difference. If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of let us know.

Founded by an AP mum to help and meet like-minded parents, HAP group has flourished. A fortnightly group held in comfortable surroundings with tea, coffee, cake and chat!

Shopmobility project... What is Shopmobility? Shopmobility is a scheme that hires scooters and wheelchairs to enable those with limited mobility to use the facilities in central Hartlepool . It is for anyone, whatever age, with limited mobility, short or long-term. Shopmobility is a Registered Charity and a project of Hartlepool Access Group which is sponsored by Hartlepool Borough Council as well as local businesses, industry, trusts and other charities. Their generosity is much appreciated, as are our volunteers, without whom the scheme could not operate. Shopmobility is now well established in hundreds of towns and cities across the country. If you are travelling further-a-field and think you may need the same assistance as you require in Hartlepool , then ask at our Reception for information. What equipment is available? We have walking sticks, walkers, crutches, three and four wheeled scooters, manual wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs. Booking Equipment Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment. You can book by calling into Shopmobility or by telephone us on 01429 861777. Please do not leave bookings on the voicemail, but if you leave your name and telephone number we will return your call as soon as we can to you to confirm availability and take your booking. Car Parking Limited Free parking may be reserved in the car park behind the Shopmobility office. Equipment can be brought to your car if required. Assistance Limited trained volunteer escorts are available to accompany you should you require this service. Advanced booking is required. How do I Join? Simply call into Shopmobility and complete a registration form to join our membership scheme. You will be asked to produce two forms of identification, e.g. benefit book, driving licence, utility bill and two passport size photographs. Membership You will be issued with a membership card. There is an hourly fee of £1.00 for manual wheelchairs, £1.25 for powered equipment and Special arrangements can be made for group membership. Please ask for details. Training When you have registered, we will advise you which is the most suitable vehicle for your needs. We will provide training until we are happy that you are in control and you are confident using the equipment. Hire of Manual Chairs Shopmobility now have manual wheelchairs for overnight and holiday hire at a cost of £5.00 per day, £20.00 per week and £30.00 per fortnight.

Hartlepool and district angling club was established in 1949 and we have just celebrated or 60th anniversary. We are proud of our 3 well stocked and maintained still waters and 4 stretches of rivers available to our members. We are dedicated to offering great fishing venues that have a well balanced and diverse species stock, we believe in our fish welfare and ensure they have the best environment to live and grow by our continued fish stocking when required and work parties to ensure the best water management. We strive to provide pleasant and clean venues to fish . Our club is open to all members of the community and we welcome all without discrimination or bias. We have strong ties to the community and regularly hold charity matches to benefit our local chosen charities. We have a strong membership but are always looking to expand, especially introducing more junior members to our noble sport. We have also recently gained access to a new Stillwater with a good head of quality silverfish to increase the options open to our members.
