Springboard Hartlepool
Springboard Sunderland Trust started in December 1975 as a joint project between Community Service Volunteers (CSV) and Sunderland Borough Council Social Services Department. The original plan was to provide work experience and training for young people interested in a career in care under the Job Creation Programme.
Since then Springboard has grown into a large and vibrant organisation with excellent premises, and facilities across the north east in Sunderland, South Tyneside, Peterlee and Hartlepool, where we organize training for people of all age groups and volunteering opportunities through Action Sunderland for 18-24 year olds. We also own and run Allenheads Lodge Activity Centre in Northumberland, where Springboard learners or members of the public can experience a variety of fun or development activities. We work closely with local employers to provide work experience and job opportunities for all our learners.
At Springboard we create opportunities for people to achieve their educational, employment and personal goals. In 2003 more than 2300 people worked and volunteered with Springboard in the north east.
Whether you are looking for a job, want to gain experience or a qualification contact the Springboard centre nearest to you.
We are committed to equal opportunities and strive to ensure that no learner or member of staff is discriminated against. We do not treat people unfairly due to their religion, colour, sex, age or regardless of their sexual preference. We expect learners, staff and placement providers to uphold this commitment and avoid discriminating language or behaviour.
Springboard Sunderland Trust is fully committed to the concept of the safe learner, providing and ensuring that its Staff, Visitors, Volunteers and Contractors have a Safe and healthy place in which to work and train.
