Knowsley Lifts have been in operation now since 1997, and have grown steadily over the years, developing into a firm that is trusted and respected by consultants, builders, and building owners alike, from National Health Trusts and Local Authority's, to private clients with single units of any description. The Three are:- Joe Fitzgerald 40 years in the industry, previously branch manager at Express Lifts Liverpool Branch, and Otis European Salesman of the year no less, who had worked at all levels in the Liverpool branch of Express Lifts previous to joining Knowsley Lifts. Steve Fitzgerald 41, previously team leader at Express Evans, and former Express Lifts apprentice, being in one of the batches of apprentice's that were sent to Northampton for the first year of their training to work in all sections of the now closed Northampton factory. Educated to HNC level in electrical engineering, and NVQ4 Level in testing and commissioning Lifts. Tommy Murphy 47, former callout and repair engineer at Express Lifts, at O&K Escalators previous to that, and originally coming from a background being a time served mechanical engineer, working on a diverse range of machinery from Timber Mills to Nailguns. Educated to HNC Level in Mechanical Engineering, and also NVQ4 qualified in testing and commissioning lifts. The different skill sets and experience of each of the directors work well to give us a balanced outlook and approach to various challenges of an engineering nature or otherwise. Since starting up they have all encountered hands on every aspect of the lift installation or refurbishment process, from drawing approval to installing guides and complete lifts, thus being able to communicate with engineers at all levels and understand potential difficulties and come up with practical solutions. Throughout the years, our recruitment process, training programmes, and company ethics, ensure that any member of Knowsley lifts staff you encounter will be friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and always willing to help. Our Senior Managers are :- Installation Chris Newman, 30 years plus in the Lift Industry at all levels Ian Newman, 20 years plus in the Industry ex-Otis team leaderand NVQ Level 4 Tester Service John Whewell, 20 years plus in the Industry ex-Otis team leader. Jay Maloney, 12 years in the Industry and fully trained by Knowsley Lifts, currently NVQ4 trainingKnowsley Lifts always try to understand a customers objectives, whether it be to install a new lift, modernise an existing lift, or keep a lift of advancing years running safely and as reliably as possible, we always aim to provide the best value for money to all of our customers, helping them to spend wisely with available budget. Whether the project be to keep a lift running with limited funds , or invest large sums on a multi-lift installation or refurbishment we will advise you of options available and tailor the equipment supplied to best suit your needs. All of the equipment we supply is open protocol so during the lifetime of the lift customers always have the choice to use another lift company should they wish, as all information and parts are freely available.
