The Loughborough Endowed Schools is a charitable foundation of three independent schools operating under a single Board of Trustees/Directors. The Foundation comprises Loughborough Grammar School, Loughborough High School and Fairfield Preparatory School. Loughborough Grammar School and Loughborough High School were established in 1495 and 1850 respectively whilst Fairfield Preparatory School has been an autonomous school since 1969. The schools enjoy a very high reputation for their academic, cultural and sporting achievements, and for the quality of their pastoral care. Situated at a very pleasant 39 acre campus on the south side of Loughborough, the Foundation began in 2008 a new phase of major capital developments, which will involve the replacement or renovation of all of the science facilities at the two senior schools. The Loughborough Endowed Schools’ Foundation employs approximately 450 staff in both teaching and non-teaching roles. The three Heads are responsible for the management of educational activities whilst business aspects of the Foundation are managed by the Foundation Secretary and Treasurer through the centralized functions of finance, estates, health & safety, catering, the network services, human resources and the development office.

Loughborough Sno is one of the greatest snowsports clubs in the country. Made up of Loughborough University & College students our members participate in recrational trips as well as competitions, with a strong social scene and run two big annual holidays. ♦♦ Committee ♦♦ All of this is organised by a dedicated committee who share one common objective; giving you the ultimate student snowsport experience, on and off the mountain. BUiSC (indoor) championships follow in January/February, and BUSC (2000 students in one resort!) finishes the season at Easter. Throughout the year we compete at Kings dryslope races and we usually train every week. All abilities are welcome (we had seven teams last year) and all the events are great fun for competitors and supporters alike. Come along to a taster session early in the year to see what it's all about! Sno has been extremely successful in recent years; the race team has won every award possible, and the freestyle team is catching up fast! Out dedicated competitions captains are already working hard in preparation for the new season. We even have race and freestyle kit for you to borrow, so there's no excuse for not giving it a go! ♦♦Social♦♦ Our social scene is second to none in the university, Sno always has a great mix of people who are always welcoming and just up for a good time! Our social secs always make sure we're the biggest and loudest club, and our fancy dress themes are always the envy of the student snowsport bubble! ♦♦Holidays♦♦ The Winter Trip is renowned throughout Loughborough as basically the best week of your life! This year's location is still under wraps, but you can rest assured it'll be quality accommodation, in an awesome resort with the best Aprés you'll ever get.. think Fresher's week..on ice...with much better venues than the union! At Easter we travel to the Alps again for BUSC. 2000 students, one resort... it's basically a festival in the mountains....open air stages, massive acts, a Ball, all with the added bonus of sunny easter weather to hit the apres hard after the nice snow's turned to slush! ♦♦Recreational Trips♦♦ We run regular trips to snodomes on wednesdaya afternoons. You get discounted slopetime and lessons if you want them. These sessions are loads of fun to sharpen up your skills and spend some time with some like-minded people. We usually have a burger and a few beers afterwards, then head on back to Hey Ewe! ♦♦Stash♦♦ Our stash is always the envy of the whole campus. Rob's already been hard at work on your merchandise for next year, and we've got some exciting stuff in the pipeline! Flix is a fully operational independent cinema and shows films chosen by the members which are shown weekly in the Cope Auditorium on Epinal Way. Since our move to the refurbished Cope Auditorium, we now offer plush cushioned tiered seating, 2.4kW of surround sound goodness, and a massive 28ft screen. If that sounds good, come along.
