We have a busy stall at the Wednesday market in Machynlleth, located outside Losin Lush on the high street. We are always interested in recruiting new members. Drop by the stall or email for a membership pack. Members pay a yearly fee, this entitles them to sell their produce on the stall on Wednesdays. Members pay a 10% commission to Fresh & Local, which goes towards running costs such as rental of market space and stall maintenance. Members also take turns manning the stall, usually about 1 morning or afternoon shift a month. Alternatively you can choose to pay 20% commission and opt out of shifts on the stall.

My name is Sarah Thomas I am a CSSIW registered child minder. I live in the middle of Machynlleth with my partner Rich, a manager of a crisis intervention centre, our daughter Lily and Rich’s teenage children Jac and Molly. We are an active family who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. I offer childcare for children aged 0 -4 years between the hours of 07.45am – 17.45pm; these hours are flexible to suit your family’s needs. My last inspection was in April 2012 which went extremely well.

Mondays at 10 and Fridays at 6.30 are mixed ability Hatha Yoga Classes.

Machynlleth Tuesday Singers are an informal group of people who meet every Tuesday at the Owain Glyndwr Centre in Machynlleth to sing. We have no leader, choir master or mistress, anyone can teach a song if they wish. We sing three or four part harmonies, African, Gregorian, Welsh, Irish, fun and formal. At Christmas we sing carols, in the summer, those of us who wish to, sing at some of the local events (when asked) We hold an open door to all, no auditions, no waiting list, no weekly commitment, just turn up when you can and sing! We meet each week at 7.30pm, until 9.30pm. Upstairs in the O.G.C. No booking needed, all welcome! If you would like to come and listen, you are welcome. If you would like to come and try this once, you are welcome. If you would like to come every week, you are welcome. If you want to come now and again, you are just as welcome. Make new acquaintances, learn new songs and have some fun. Tuesday Singers has something for Everyone!

Welcome to Y Plas Machynlleth, a grade II listed Georgian mansion. Formerly the home of the Marques of Londonderry, the property was left to the people of Machynlleth in 1948 and eventually acquired by Machynlleth town council in 2008 The top two floors are given over to offices, whilst on the ground floor is a restaurant, art gallery and conference facilities.

The Tabernacle was converted in the mid-1980s from a Wesleyan chapel into a centre for the performing arts. Since then MOMA WALES has grown up alongside it in four beautiful exhibition spaces.
