Moretonhampstead Development Trust opened the doors to Green Hill for the first time on Saturday 10 December 2011 to a stunning transformation of the old school building into an extensive, mixed-use community resource. The attractive Victorian schoolhouse now incorporates a contemporary art gallery also selling arts and crafts in the foyer, heritage displays and archive, a number of purpose-built artist’s studios, a large dedicated youth centre and offices. Green Hill attracts a diverse audience to enjoy a programme that nourishes the arts and crafts community of Dartmoor and encourages visitors from far and wide to engage in contemporary visual art.

All designs range from English size 2 -12 in full and half sizes, with four width fittings. Long Boots are made in a choice of 3 leg widths. We are happy to quote for larger or smaller sizes. We are a traditional fish and chip shop, offering fish and chips, kebabs, pizza's and burgers. We cater for single orders, parties and events with the facility to eat in or take away. Car parking is only about 100 yards from our shop and is free for 6 months of every year.

For beach lovers, the white sandy coves of the South Hams aren’t far. There are also top golf courses within 10 mins drive, 4×4 off road driving, paintball, fishing, canoeing, climbing and even tree surfing with lots more to do besides. Lower Westcott Cottage is the ideal location for relaxation and a great base to explore and enjoy the delights of what Dartmoor has to offer.

Learn to play guitar at your own pace. My name is Edd, and I teach guitar! All abilities and ages welcome, acoustic or electric guitar. Most styles catered for. Full up to date CRB check held. Registry of Guitar Tutors registered, allowing teaching of RGT acoustic/electric grades. Can teach rockschool guitar grades also. Prices are £10 for half an hour, and £20 an hour for each type of lesson. Discounts for lessons booked in blocks, gift vouchers available!
