Having worked in landscaping and tree surgery since I finished my fine art degree it is no wonder that I am interested in things that come out of the ground or the grain of a piece of timber.
I find that these materials have some form of intrinsic value.
A rusty piece of iron that has been buried for years still holding a resemblance to its original form.
A knotted oak burr, twisting.
And the brilliance of white sun bleached bone...
Combinations of these and other such found materials are the subject, form and process of my most recent and ongoing works...
