THE CITY GALLERY is the first new premise as part of The Howie-Smith Project, opening March 16th as a Community Art Gallery and creative space in the city centre of Nottingham. Situated up an ignored alleyway, adjacent to the city's Market Square, facing the tourist information centre and the city Council House. With a view to create an active gallery space, shop selling handmade crafts, an alternate tourist information centre in the city, wifi, and a thriving cafe culture with events and possible workshops, The Howie Smith Project are now seeking interested parties seeking opportunity to take part.

Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is set in the beautiful surroundings of Riversley Park in the Warwickshire town of Nuneaton. The museum hosts an exciting programme of over 20 temporary exhibitions a year. The permanent displays include objects from the Social History and Fine Art collections. There is also a recently refurbished permanent display on local writer George Eliot. The museum offers a range of family activities throughout the year from museum trails and worksheets to creative activities during school holidays. Many of the temporary and permanent exhibitions contain interactive learning and creative elements for all age groups. The museum is actively involved with the local community through outreach projects. This can include using our collection to inspire reminiscence sessions, gather oral history and participate in local history projects by working in partnership with local groups and volunteers. We also offer an extensive education and outreach programme for schools and groups. A highlight of our programme is the annual Earth & Fire International Ceramics Fair, which takes in the Abbey grounds at the end of June each year.

There is a minimum £2 entry donation fee on entry, which is gratefully received to support the ongoing restoration and expansion of the railway and our museum - with your help we can improve further still and ensure that the important history of our nation's railways will not be lost for future generations.
