Cambrian Heritage Railways Museum

Cambrian Heritage Railways Museum

Oswald Road, Oswestry ,
The Cambrian Heritage railway museum is a small but fascinating collection displaying compelling exhibits dating back to the 19th century. Providing a memorable day out for visitors of all ages, the museum has been described as "nostalgic" and "well worth the visit", and is improving and expanding all the time. Not only is it a great place to come for a trip down memory lane, the collection provides notable educational value and fascinates children, igniting an interest in engineering and transport which can last for life. After your museum experience you can take the chance to browse through our small souvenir shop which is delightfully situated on board a restored train carriage dating from the Second World War. There is a wide range of interesting gifts and mementos to appeal to everyone, and any profits are completely reinvested to benefit the museum further. There is a minimum £2 entry donation fee on entry, which is gratefully received to support the ongoing restoration and expansion of the railway and our museum - with your help we can improve further still and ensure that the important history of our nation's railways will not be lost for future generations.
